TEC MED: technological partnerships for medical innovation

The two-day event, dedicated to innovation technologies for medical devices, which took place in A UNO TEC plant last September 24th-25th, was absolutely successful, engaging more than 200 experts in injection moulding, 3D metal printing and automatic assembly of plastic materials.

The open house, organized by A UNO TEC in collaboration with Engel Italy, displayed excellent solutions and technologies with the aim of being “always present in the future ahead by promptly answering the innovation quest of the market”, as explained by Moreno Leporati, A UNO TEC administrator and co-owner of HDQ Group. With this vision in mind, the creation of strategic and constructive interaction among companies belonging to the same supply chain (from the management of the granule, to the extrusion of the plastic component, up to the stage of the medical device assembly), becomes essential to reach a higher technical level. This concept has been firmly highlighted by Engel vice president of the medical business unit, Christoph Lhota.

The active presence of companies such as Concept Laser, manufacturer of laser machines for the production of metals, Moretto, specialized in ancillary equipment for plastics, Frigel, manufacturer of cooling systems, and Eurostamp, moulds supplier, has without a doubt constituted a benefit towards the realization of that supply chain synergy.

Special thanks to all those people who took part in the event, making it a valuable opportunity of growth in Mirandola, at the heart of the medical district.
